Empowerment Leadership and Human Assets Investment in the VUCA Phenomena

摘要


護理領導人置身於21世紀充滿競爭與多變的烏卡(VUCA)現象中,科技化、資訊化、全球化與智慧化發展已對各產業發展產生極大衝擊,面臨市場競爭、品質提升與消費者導向之趨勢下,醫療情境之改變已非昔日可比。傳統教育培養之思維與領導模式已難適用於現今職場,導致護理領導人對專業發展產生困惑,專業若持續身陷人力議題與專業功能受限之困境,除影響專業定位與發展,且難以彰顯專業內涵與社會責任,亦影響服務領域之拓展及降低競爭力,領導人更難以引領團隊突破框架與走向藍海。賦能領導是解決以上困境的關鍵。本文將探討VUCA現象下如何以賦能領導將人力資產最大化,展現護理專業之獨特性與價值。

This article explores nursing leaders in the VUCA phenomena and nursing profession is impacted by rapid changes in technology, information, globalization, and AI industry in the 21st century. The health care system is not as before, has become more complicated by current market competition, demands for improved quality, and consumer-oriented trend. Traditional mindset and leadership style do not meet the demands of the current health care industry. Nursing leaders experience great conflicts and confusion. The issues of nursing shortage and limits on professional function will not only negatively impact the nursing position in the health care team, but also limit professional development, effectiveness, expansion, competition, and social responsibilities. Empowerment leadership is the key to face the dilemma. The aim of the paper is to introduce how to apply the concept of empowerment on promoting human resources and demonstrating the uniqueness, quality, and value in nursing.
