通識課程「材料與生活」之學習成效初探:以高雄醫學大學為例

An Exploratory Study for the Learning Outcomes in the General Education Course "Materials and Life" : A Case of Kaohsiung Medical University

摘要


本研究旨在探討某醫學大學提供之通識課程「材料與生活」,學生之學習成效研究。本研究第一階段採質性研究,分析學生繳交之每月課程心得,藉由學生觀點,探討並分析學生之學習成效。第二階段採量化分析,於課前課後施測問卷,由學生自評各項主題之認知程度及學習態度。綜合研究發現:一、課程可提升學生之科學素養,了解材料科學的基本原理;二、課程可提升學生之基礎能力,對生活所見之材料科學實務問題進行推論;三、課程可提升學生之思辨力,建立創新思維與解決問題的方法;四、課程可提升學生之學習力,主動開拓多元化的學習管道;五、學生於課後會注意材料科學相關新聞,顯示課程內容可與生活情境緊密結合,帶給學生適應現在生活及面對未來挑戰的知識、能力與態度,此外,未來值得進一步探究學習態度之影響。

This study aims to explore the general course "Materials and Life" provided by a medical university, and to analyze the learning outcomes of students. In the first phase of the study, the quality study was conducted to analyze the monthly course experience, and to explore and analyze the students' learning outcomes from their perspective. In the second stage, quantitative analysis was carried out by questionnaires before and after the course, and students were self-evaluating the cognitive level and learning attitude of each topic. The comprehensive research found that: First, the curriculum can enhance students' scientific literacy and understand the basic principles of materials science; second, the curriculum can enhance students' basic ability, and infer the material science practice problems seen in life; third, the curriculum can enhance students' thinking To build innovative thinking and problem-solving methods; fourth, the curriculum can enhance students' learning ability and actively explore diversified learning channels; fifth, students will pay attention to materials science related news after class, showing that the course content can be closely related to life situations. The combination brings students the knowledge, abilities, and attitudes to adapt to their current lives and face the challenges they face. In addition, the future deserves to further explore the impact of learning attitudes.
