Purpose: Personality traits have been recognized as important variables associate with human's performance. However, few studies have investigated their effects on the scores for adults. The study addresses the relationship of personality traits and school director candidates' performance. Method: Samples of 130 male and 145 female school directors participated in this study. Questionnaires of Big Five Personality Test and the assessment score while participating the training were collected. Results: The results show that conscientiousness was positively correlated with academic test and workshop notes and openness was positively correlated with oral practice and workshop notes. Neuroticism was negatively correlated with oral performance and workshop notes. In addition, male demonstrated significantly lower agreeableness scores, conscientiousness scores, and openness scores than females.
