Taiwan's Aboriginal tribes contain abundant performing arts and cultures with unique characteristics. Professional of performing arts play significant role for developing performing arts industry. However higher education in Aboriginal performing arts was inadequate in Taiwan. This study explores how the Extension Education Center of the National Taiwan University of Arts provided performing arts professional cultivation for Aborigines. Through qualitative research approaches, the strategies, effectiveness and issues of the study cases were explored and explained in details. The study found that extension education center as a university institution with profound flexibility to incorporate various departments and resources of university would provide performing arts professional cultivation for Aborigines. This could provide those who are inaccessible to professional education with chances to improve their professional of performing arts.
