This study aims at investigating the relationship among personality, work expectation, and work cognition of college students who major in restaurant management. According to personality-job fit theory, we categorized the students into six different types of personality and with canonical correlation analysis we analyzed the relationship among personality, work expectation, and work cognition. The results showed that there was a high correlation among personality, work expectation, and work cognition. Among them, "social type personality" has the highest correlation with "personal development" under the category of work expectation and "work performance and environment" under the category of work cognition. Therefore, students of "social type personality" are considered to best fit the jobs in the restaurant business.
