On basketball fast break, shoulder pass is a usual method. Base on the model of movement pattern of shoulder pass, the characters of movement pattern would be varied associated with different distances. Therefore, the qualitative analysis was conducted to identify the differences through the four distances of basketball shoulder pass. The movement of Shoulder pass could be divided into three phases: 1. swing arm of early stage, 2. passing point and 3. completion follow through. The result were indicated that the stride were increase through the pass distance extend; the rotation angle of shoulder, hip, elbow and wrist joint would be larger to facilitate the pass speed; and the swing angle would be larger through the distance.
