Places of most frequent outdoor leisure activities in Central Slovakia

The article presents analysis of the state of utilization of tourism residential and physical activities in the leisure time of older children from the region of Banska Bystrica (Central Slovakia). Slovakia offers rich opportunities for tourism. The research method used was public inquiry which was filled in by 420 children aged 12 to 15 years. The results showed that 63.6% of respondents prefer bus transport (motor-tourism). 51.3% of the respondents stated that they use cars for the transport to tourism destinations. Sport and physical activities carried out in the nature are the most popular content of the camps during the holidays in children. One fifth of the respondents have not had the chance to get to know the region of Banska Bystrica yet.
