Soccer is one of the most popular sports in the world. Varying from other ball games in which scoring can be quick and easy, penalty kick usually plays an important role for victory in a soccer game. Therefore, whether the golakeeper equipped with the ability to precisely anticipate the direction and landing location of the ball becomes the key factor of winning. This study reviewed previous investigations regarding penalty kick in soccer. The conclusions are as following: 1. Penalty player's rate of scoring is higher than 76 percent by penalty kick. 2. Participants of soccer studies are mostly the soccer players with more than ten years of experience. The experienced goalkeepers' anticipation of the ball location is more accurate than those of fewer experiences. 3. Success of tackle lies in paying attentions to the penalty players' kicking leg, non-kicking leg and the location of the ball. 4. Media that researchers used are mainly the penalty kick videos filmed in advance.
