A Study of Leadership Styles of Track and Field Coaches in Junior High Schools

摘要

本研究旨在探討我國國中田徑選手知覺的和偏好的教練領導行為之差異情形。以274名選手為對象，採「運動領導量表」實施調查，所得資料以單因子多變項變異數分析（one-way MANOVA）、薛費氏法（Scheffe's method）處理後，獲得以下結論：一、國中田徑選手對於教練領導行為的知覺和偏好程度之間，「民主行為」向度有顯著差異存在。二、女選手、練習天數較多和層級較高的選手分別在「訓練與指導行為」、「關懷行為」向度和整體「領導行為」有較高的知覺程度。三、女選手、全運選手和訓練4－5年的選手，分別在「訓練與指導行為」和「關懷行為」向度有較高的偏好程度；訓練1年以下的選手則在「專制行為」向度有較高的偏好程度。

This paper reported the results of our survey study on the perception and preferences of junior high school track and field athletes toward their coaches in Taiwan. Leading styles and coaching behaviors are our main concern. ”Scale for sports leading styles” was used in this investigation. 274 athletes were studied. Data obtained were analyzed by one-way MANOVA and Scheffe's method. Results show that:1.For these track and field athletes from junior high school, significant differences were observed between their perceptions and preferences toward the democratic leading behavior of their coaches.2.Females and athletes who have better records and/or more training days per week aware more ”training and instruction behavior”, ”social support”, and ”integral leading behavior”.3.Female, experienced athletes (4-5 years), and athletes who have attended the ”Taiwan High School Track and Field Meet” have higher preferences toward the behaviors of ”training and instruction ” and ”social supports”. On the other hand, rookies (less than 1 year's experience) prefer ”autocratic” behaviors more.
