La crisis de la ideología de la ＂Revolución Ciudadana＂ durante el gobierno de Lenín Moreno

La ideología de la ＂Revolución Ciudadana＂ (RC) se desarrolla durante el periodo 2007-2017, bajo la dirección de Rafael Correa en Ecuador, inicia como un movimiento cuyo objetivo residió en la elaboración de la Constitución de 2008 y se concretizó mediante políticas económicas opuestas al área de libre comercio propuesta por Estados Unidos y a las políticas del FMI, dentro de la alianza del marco del ALBA-TPC, UNASUR y CELAC-China. Su base política residió en el partido de centro-izquierda ALPAIS y la orientación del gobierno a políticas y programas sociales. Durante el gobierno de Lenín Moreno (2017-2021), la RC se ha desestructurado por completo, Correa y su ex vicepresidente Jorge Glas fueron sentenciados, se dio término a las relaciones con el ALBA-TPC, se reestablecieron los lazos con Estados Unidos y se volvieron a realizar acuerdos con el FMI. Las elecciones del 2021, definirán la desaparición de la RC o su revitalización, asociada a la figura de Correa.

The ideology of the ＂Citizen Revolution＂ (CR) was developed during the period 2007-2017, under the leadership of Rafael Correa at Ecuador, it began as a movement which main goal was the writing of the 2008 Constitution. The CR policies opposed directly to the free trade area promote by the United States and also against the economic policies of the IMF, through an alliance in the framework of ALBA-TPC, UNASUR and CELAC-China. It political base was built on the center-left party ALPAIS and direct the government's orientation to social policies and programs. During Lenin Moreno's government (2017-2021), the CR has been completely unstructured, Correa and his former vice president Jorge Glas were sentenced to prison, relations with the ALBA-TPC were terminated, ties with the United States were reestablished and also made agreements with the IMF. The 2021 elections will define the disappearance of the CR or its renewal, which is heavy associated with the figure of Correa.
