探討千禧世代警察工作價值觀及激勵之道

摘要


出生於1980年至2000年之間的「千禧世代」是職場勞動力的主力,而由統計得知千禧世代已是目前警界的最大族群,相關研究指出工作價值觀存在著世代差異,且千禧世代相較於年長的世代,更重視工作的意義感受;本文乃就此職場趨勢下,探討組織管理的重心調整,如欲激勵千禧世代的警察同仁,建議可採行包括組織文化強調利他、主管採用轉換型領導風格以及鼓勵個人進行工作塑造等,偏向內在工作價值觀的作為。

The Millennial generation (born between 1980 and 2000) is going to become the next great workforce. In fact, Millennials are the largest generation of police department. Extant research indicates that age may influence work values and Millennials are eager to gain meaningful work experience. This paper is based on these workplace trends and understanding the generational differences. If we try to shift management attention in policing, then this paper proposes to motivate Millennial generation police officers by altruism, transformational leadership and job crafting.
