Discussion on Strengthening Police Service by Combining Digital Technology - From Community Policing to CompStat Policing

Combining digital technology to strengthen service capabilities is an important policy of our government. Community policing has introduced the concept of service to the police, while CompStat policing emphasizes the use of digital information to deal with public security issues with modern technology and achieve the purpose of serving people. This paper first analyzes the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of community policing and CompStat policing by SWOT Analysis, then uses TOWS Analysis to analyze CompStat policing. And at the end of the paper, five suggestions are proposed.
