There is an emerging and accelerating call for spirituality in the workplace. People want a deeper sense of meaning and fulfillment on the job. In view of police job characteristics, they often encounter negative experiences and suffer from mental pain and distress. Perhaps implement workplace spirituality can be a good recipe, and police leaders play a key role. Their leadership will be transformed into spiritual leadership. This article first introduces Maslow's Z theory, then explains the development model and examples of spiritual leadership. Besides, we attempt to incorporate Taoist philosophy perspectives. Finally, there are forward suggestions for developing police leadership.
