摘要

本文試圖從「現代性」的視野與思想史研究的角度出發，解讀中國近代神學思想家倪柝聲（1903－1972）的思想，藉此賦予倪柝聲研究不同的解讀方式與詮釋立場。本文認為，如果沒有注意到西方啟蒙運動以降之人本主義的思想背景，則將會忽視倪柝聲思想中若干重要的批判面向及其思想史的意義。從「現代性」的視野與思想史的角度理解倪柝聲，實有助於掌握中國近代基督教思想史的若干不同面貌。本文即是對此構想提出嘗試性的討論。

This paper attempts to study the Chinese Theologian Watchman Nee (1903-1972) from the perspective of Modernity using an intellectual history methodology. In so doing, we will approach Watchman Nee from an interpretive approach and position. If we overlook the importance of Humanism in the intellectual background of the Enlightenment, then we will fail to grasp the full meaning of Watchman Nee in intellectual history. Studying Watchman Nee through the perspective of Modernity will be contribute to a greater understanding of the diversity of Modern Chinese Christian thought. This article will present a tentative discussion of these ideas.
