University Students' Key Employability: Views of Teachers and Students

摘要


大學畢業生「學用落差」及「就業力」議題廣受各界討論,但從國內現有的文獻或研究成果發現,同時分析教師及學生觀點者仍未見。因此,本研究運用國立臺灣師範大學教育研究與評鑑中心建置的臺灣高等教育整合資料庫,分析大學教師及學生評量大學生關鍵職能的結果,反思臺灣大學生就業職能的現況。本研究依研究目的篩選適宜的樣本,篩選後教師樣本數為36,397份;學生201,511份,並從三層面、若干細項就業職能指標架構分析,結果發現,教師在各層面評分顯著低於學生,且兩者皆認為「人際社會層面」有待加強;細項指標則以「外語能力」知覺分數最低,但兩者對「創新能力」及「抗壓性」兩項的知覺不甚一致。另外,不同學校類型及學門領域的大學教師和學生評量就業職能結果有所不同,其中公立一般大學學生的自我評價結果並非是最高,人文領域的教師及學生的評價多高於其他領域。根據上述分析結果,本研究提出若干供大學行政、教學人員及在學學生參考之建議;同時後續研究者亦可建構從不同觀點如教師、學生、校友及雇主來評量關鍵職能的工具。

The issues about "gap between learning and application" or "employability" of university graduates are discussed publically and widely. Actually, there are a lot of researches or official reports on how to improve and promote graduates' key competences, employability, employ skills, and so on. According to the existing references and research results, comparing views of university teachers with students are rarely understood or analyzed. This study aims to analyze the status of university students' key employability through views of university teachers and students in Taiwan. The sample is drawn from the surveys of Taiwan Integrated Postsecondary Education Database. Followed by the research purposes, 36,397 teachers' samples and 201,511 students' samples are used in this study. Based on the key employability's structure with three dimensions and some indicators, the results show that: teachers' scores on three dimensions are significantly lower than students'. Both of them have lowest evaluation on the dimension of "interpersonal and social" and the indicator of "foreign language." Particularly, the perception on "creative" and "resistance to stress" are different between teachers and students. In addition, evaluation results differ from school type and domain of study. On the whole, evaluations of public general university students are not the highest. Teachers and students of humanities generally evaluate higher than others. Based on these research results, some suggestions are provided for administration and teaching units of higher education, and school students. In addition, future researchers shall develop employability evaluation tools which take different views from teachers, students, alumna, as well as employers.
