This study aims to analyse the thoughts and individualism found in the text of Laluan Sutera Maritim dan Hubungan China-ASEAN written by Yang Xiaoqiang and Xu Liping. The research adopted qualitative approach based on close reading and content analysis techniques. The theory of Textdealism was used in this study as a logistics to examine the presence, collision, as well as strengthening and individualism principals of the authors. The study sample included a book entitled Laluan Sutera Maritim dan Hubungan China-ASEAN (2019). The study found that the principle of the presence of this text covered the aspect of the construction of silk pathways. Subsequently, the principle of collision was addressed based on the aspect of the refusal of the construction along the Maritime Silk Route by several regional countries. At the same time, the principle of strengthening was marked by the perspective of China-ASEAN interdependence. Finally, the principle of individualism would be understood based the basic propositions by the authors. This study is significant to delve into the aspects of the thinking and philosophy found in the Maritime Silk Route which should not only be a medium of transportation and business, but also a logistics transfer of language, ideology and technology that contribute to the growth of the Industrial Revolution 4.0.
