For the homogeneity of the design industry in China, the paper tease out a set of product design method taking cultural creative product design as an example on the basis of the theory of perceptual engineering system's development. Combing perceptual demand of consumers and design strategy of cultural creative industry, using the category hierarchy method to accurately grasp the preferences of consumers, we determine the relevance between design theme and design elements, establish sample library and design the products that can meet the both demand of consumer and market. We can also use this method to guide the design process. U-disk design, for example, proved the reasonability and feasibility of this method.
