Foster care is an alternative service that provides foster children to re-experience family life and meet their needs to be cared for, loved, and to promote physical and mental development. In recent years, the number of foster children placed by the South Kaohsiung Family Support Center more than 50% are children under the age of 6. The proportion of developmental delay is as high as 45% or more. That is meaning that the issue of developmental delay is an important part of foster care services. Therefore, this paper expects to highlight the importance of early intervention for foster care services through the subjective feelings of foster parents on the issue of developmental delay in foster children, from the process of confrontation, treatment, arrangements, outcomes, etc. The research objectives of this study are as follows: 1. To explore the feelings, considerations and arrangements of foster families in the face of developmentally delayed children receiving early intervention. 2. Understand the factors that affect the arrangement of early intervention in foster families, as well as their views on the effectiveness of early interventions. 3. To provide suggestions on training courses and work planning related to follow-up foster care services. This paper adopts qualitative research method, in-depth interview method to collect data, adopts Purposive Sampling, takes the experience of actively leading foster children into early intervention as the sampling standard, and tries to cover foster family with different years of service. We successfully interviews 9 foster families. We found that experiential learning is an important learning approach for foster parents. In the arrangement of early intervention, the most important considerations are the effectiveness of treatment, children's adaptation, and the interaction experience with professional team. In addition, the actual participation and the progress of the child are the main sources of constructing the foster parents' knowledge about early intervention and professional identity. To strengthen the motivation of foster families to continue to lead foster children in early intervention.
