The characteristics of Humanistic Buddhism as propagated by Venerable Master Hsing Yun are quite unique to other Buddhist masters. For this reason, this paper aims to discuss the close relationship between Venerable Master Hsing Yun's characteristic of Humanistic Buddhism and his concept of Humanistic Pure Land. Based on such characteristic displayed by Venerable Master Hsing Yun and the characteristics of Humanism exhibited by Fo Guang Shan, a further detailed analysis on the intentions of Humanistic Buddhism as well as the objectives of establishing a Humanistic Pure Land is presented to compare the Buddha's Pure Land with the Humanistic Pure Land.
