"Singing in Silence": Venerable Master Hsing Yun's Religious and Stylistic Reform

"Singing in Silence" is one of Venerable Master Hsing Yun's earliest books after his arrival in Taiwan during the 1950's. Although it is one of his early writings in Taiwan, it has reflected thoughts on stylistic reform and religious reform."Singing in Silence "calls for religious reform, and is considered a pioneering work in Venerable Master Hsing Yun's movement for Humanistic Buddhism. It is also the earliest demonstration of his literary talents, and his ability to utilize innovative literature and Dharma propagation approaches to keep up to the needs of his era.
