星雲大師人間佛教與華嚴思想

摘要


本文研究主旨為星雲大師人間佛教理論實踐與華嚴思想的關係。論文分為三個部分:第一個部分從理論原點的角度探討二者的關係,指出圓融無礙是華嚴思想和人間佛教契合的出發點。星雲大師藉華嚴思想說明人間佛教,指「理事無礙」即是人間佛教。第二方面從深入法界的角度探討華嚴五十三參和佛光山人間佛教諸種行為和實踐之間的關係。文中認為星雲大師在不同的場合多次以華嚴深入法界、善財五十三參來說明人間佛教進行了種種活動的合理性,特別是一些表面看和傳統佛教關聯不大的行為。第三個方面從人間淨土建立的角度,說明了華藏淨土及華嚴思想都是佛光人間淨土建立的理論資源和思想背景。

The main topic of this paper is the relationship between Venerable Master Hsing Yun's Humanistic Buddhism, its theory and practice, and Huayan thought. This paper is divided into three parts. In the first part, the investigation takes the perspective of the theoretical origins of Humanistic Buddhism and points at the relationship of the two doctrines. In particular, there is a good compatibility as Huayan thought is the fundamental basis of Humanistic Buddhism. Venerable Master Hsing Yun uses Huayan thought to explain Humanistic Buddhism, referring to "unimpeded interaction of noumenon and phenomenon." In the second part, the investigation takes the perspective of the Huayan concept, "deep entry into the dharma realm." It discusses the teachings of the fifty-three wise and virtuous friends and how they are reflected in the activities and practice of Fo Guang Shan Humanistic Buddhism. The paper indicates various occasions when Venerable Master Hsing Yun uses the Huayan philosophy of "deep entry into the dharma realm," and the fifty-three teachings which Sudhana receives to illustrate the way Humanistic Buddhism proceeds into every aspect of essential nature, especially where surficial views and traditional Buddhism do not actively interact. In the third part, the investigation takes the perspective of the establishment of a Humanistic Pure Land, surveying that the lotus world of each Buddha, the Pure Land, and Huayan thought all constitute the Fo Guang Humanistic Pure Land theory of establishment and its ideological background.
