美國檔案描述相關標準之探討

摘要

本文的目的在於透過美國檔案描述相關標準的探討，協助國內檔案工作者瞭解大量描述標準的存在，簡介現存的標準與其發展的組織與機構，做為未來國內檔案學界發展描述標準時，進一步追蹤、分析研究的參考基礎。首先將定義檔案描述與簡述美國的相關發展；其次引用WGSAD的三維矩陣，概論描述標準的架構與分類；並列舉重要且實用的描述標準簡單說明其發展與應用情形；最後探討美國在描述規則標準的最新發展。

This article first defines the archival descriptive standards, to summarize the milestones and the development of the archives in the United States. According to quote WGSAD which is the three dimensional matrix, we introduce the description standard overhead construction and the classification. Moreover, this paper provides and discusses some examples about the practice in WGSAD. Finally this paper presents the most recent development of the archive standards in USA.
