In a previous paper, the author presented the fundamental essence of cultivation in Humanistic Buddhism as advocated by Venerable Master Hsing Yun. Moreover, it underscored the importance of such theoretical understanding in the practice of Humanistic Buddhism. In this paper, the author cites the documented issues of the Bodhisattva practices from the "Kāśyapaparivarta" in the Mahāratnakūṭa Sūtra, one of the early Mahāyāna texts. The above-mentioned chapter and the last section of Hear Me Out: Messages from a Humble Monk have remarkable parallelisms and ascertain each other. This shows that the ideas of cultivation in Humanistic Buddhism as advocated by Venerable Master Hsing Yun are the same as with the Threefold Trainings (Śīla, Samādhi, and Prajñā) of Śrāvaka and Bodhisattva practices. Furthermore, it flourished into a form of skillful means (upāya) that seeks to respond as to how humans can cultivate in this modern era.
