探討台灣學童視力保健中醫藥衛生教育推廣計畫之成效

Exploring the Effectiveness of Traditional Chinese Medicine Health Education for Vision Care Among School-Age Children in Taiwan

摘要


台灣兒童近視的盛行率近年來逐漸上升,為了加強推廣學童視力保健知識與中醫護眼穴道按摩,全台8家中醫藥衛生教育資源中心,以「近視的中醫保健」為主題進入校園,一共進行了45場衛教講座,並透過此研究進行成效評估。本研究透過中西醫專家審查通過之「近視的中醫保健」公版教材,以「講述法」與「操作示範」帶領學童學習視力保健知識與穴位按摩操,並使用通過專家信效度檢測認證的評估問卷與滿意度調查表,於學習前、後、與2週後追蹤進行成效評估。本研究於2021年7月至12月期間,至14間國中小學進行衛教,納入532位學童加入研究,受試者中70%為國小中低年級學生,51.88%的學童有近視問題,知識題之整體正確率有顯著提升,由40.97%進步為63.46%。衛教滿意度調查結果,「滿意」及「很滿意」高達89%,行為題部分於前後測差異與2週後追蹤差異無顯著變化。結果顯示此衛教模式有助於視力保健知識面的學習,為了提升行為改變與持續度,未來可再結合網路多元媒體衛教模式、邀請校方老師共同加入推廣師資群並與地方學校建立視力保健網路通訊群組,以利永續深耕推廣。本計畫奠定中醫視力保健衛教模式,並期許能在未來作為其他衛教活動參考的相關依據。

The prevalence of myopia among children in Taiwan has been increasing with year. To promote the knowledge of vision healthcare for myopia and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) acupressure for vision care, we invited 8 TCM health education resource centers to execute the TCM health education promoting program together at elementary and junior high school. We finished 45 healthcare activities to educate "TCM care for myopia" and evaluate the effectiveness of vision healthcare education. Instructors in our study used didactic and demonstration methods to teach with standard version of teaching material approved by experts in Western Medicine and TCM fields. Expert-validated-questionnaire and satisfaction surveys were used to evaluate effectiveness before and after lectures. Follow-up questionnaires were finished 2 weeks later. This study was conducted at 14 schools from July to December 2011. In our study, 532 students were included. Approximately 70% of participants are below the fourth grade, and 51.88% of participants had myopia. The overall correct answer rate of knowledge part was improved significantly from 40.97% to 63.46%. Satisfaction survey showed 89% participants felt "satisfied" and "very satisfied" to our health education activity. However, there were no significant difference between pre-test, post-test, and two-weeks-follow up test of behavioral part. The results show that the health education model we established is beneficial to learning of vision healthcare knowledge. To improve behavioral change and persistence of vision care, we may use a multimedia-assisted online teaching platform and invite teachers and nurses at school to join the instructors of TCM health education promoting program. It may be helpful to cultivate and extensively promote. This project establishes a TCM vision healthcare education model, and we hope our experience can be a model in the future.
