權力平衡與美中台三角關係

摘要

本文主要的研究問題是美國對於中國採取何種戰略，較能抑制中國的強勢作為、權力平衡理論如何應用到中國的崛起和美國的反制策略、美國如何成功地嚇阻中國對於台灣的修正行為、台灣安全與美國利益之間的關聯為何等。本文的結論是美國對於中國採取抗衡的策略符合權力平衡理論的假定；美國對於中國採取嚇阻政策最能抑制中國的擴張；以及美國強化台灣的安全防衛，符合美國國家的利益，具體實踐《臺灣關係法》的立法精神和目的。

The main questions in the paper are what strategy the U.S. employ can effectively balance against China's revisionism and assertiveness in Asia, how the theory of balance of power applies to the rise of China and the countermeasure of the U.S., and how Taiwan's security is in line with American national interests in Asia. This paper argues that the U.S. balancing against China correspond with the theory of balance of power, how the deterrence policy works better for the U.S. against China' expansionism and strengthening Taiwan's security is significantly consistent with American interests which the spirit of Taiwan Relations Act embodies.
