Among today’s business activities, the exhibition industry has been playing an important role as it helps a country strengthen the international competitiveness of its industries and boost economic growth. By supporting an exhibition event to serve as an international exchange platform, this industry helps promote the sales of high-quality products as well as related technologies and services around the global market. Taiwan, like many countries in the world, has been actively promoting development of its exhibition industry through cooperation between the government and various related industries, and has seen it develop as one of the fast-growing emerging industries. Among various relevant business activities, the exhibition freight forwarder service is one of the most challenging in light of the complexity involved with logistics and transportation. A difficult part, for example, is the complicated regulations on cross-border shipments of the exhibits from different countries or regions. Operators must have sufficient knowledge to address the hidden problems during the exhibition and customs clearance procedures. The customs regulatory issues themselves have become a difficult filed worthy deep research of interested operators. Meanwhile, due to the development and influence of the digital technology and artificial intelligence, the ways of exhibiting have gradually changed, which makes the traditional exhibition freight forwarder service industry face huge challenges. At present, there is little literature on the exhibition freight forwarder industry, nor relevant research reports. This research is proposed to discuss the feasibility and future development of digital transformation of the exhibition freight forwarder industry by making a research on a company that has been operating in Taiwan’s exhibition freight forwarder industry for more than twenty years, hopefully making it as a reference to the players of related industries.
