關於B粒子三體衰變至質子,反質子和ρ粒子之研究

摘要


本文藉由日本B工廠之7.71581 兆對BB ̅介子的實驗數據,量測B^0衰變至pp ̅ρ^0和B^±衰變至pp ̅ρ^±的三體末態之衰變分支比。由於在B介子的重子衰變中,大多為底夸克至奇夸克和魅夸克之衰變,只有少數為底夸克至上夸克。因此我們相信若能提供更多底夸克至上夸克之實驗結果,透過繪製質子和反質子的不變質量圖,以及重子在雙重子坐標系中的衰變分支比分布,能對目前進行的相關課題有很大幫助。 在使用了B工廠的資料後,我們整理了在不同質子和反質子的不變質量區間中的訊號分布。同時,在一些實驗限制下,首度量出帶電之三體末態之總衰變分支比為〖2.22〗_(-0.65)^(+0.68)乘百萬分之一,以及中性的衰變上限在90%信心水準下為 < 1.22乘百萬分之一。 除此之外,還發現兩種衰變在質子與反質子的總和不變質量分佈上的顯著不同。

We studied the following baryonic B decays,B+ → ppρ+ and B0 → ppρ0.Charge-conjugate final states for B mesons are presumed.This work has been mentioned in the work by Min-Zu Wang [1],and we use complete data sample of 772 million BB pairs collected at the Υ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy. electron-positron collider. Finally, we report the observation of B0 → ppπ+π− and B+ → ppπ+π0 with a decay branching fraction of (0.90+0.24 −0.28±0.13)×10−6 and (4.64+1.15 −1.1 ±0.8)×10−6 under 1.22 > Mππ > 0.3 GeV/c2 and 1.3 > Mππ > 0.3 GeV/c2 constraints and exclude B0 → ppK0 contribution, respectively. A search for B+ → ppρ+ yields a hint with a branching fractions of (2.22+0.68 −0.65±0.36)×10−6 This decay is believed to be predominantly via the b → u tree process. We also search for B0 → ppρ0 but no significant signal is found. We set an upper limit on its decay branching fraction B(B0 → ppρ0) < 1.22×10−6 at the 90% confidence level.
