高齡族群操作血壓計記憶功能使用性評估

摘要


由於社會趨勢與變遷使得獨居長者以及老年夫妻居住型態增加,高齡者日常自行操作血壓計等居家醫療器材的機會提高。以血壓計為例,隨著各項感測技術的進步,血壓計的功能及操作指示,如:個人紀錄、多位使用者紀錄切換等進階功能,雖然提高了測量值的精準程度,但也因功能眾多使得操作更為複雜,亦增加高齡者在使用上的困難程度。然而根據現況調查,現有血壓計尚未就記憶功能針對高齡族群進行設計,使高齡者在操作過程中遭受到挫折,以至於無法順利達成血壓紀錄,進而排斥使用該功能或對該功能不具信心;如此便無法達到血壓計記憶功能之長期監控得以健康管理的訴求。 因此本研究將針對現有電子血壓計之記憶功能進行使用性評估,藉由使用者操作觀察、放聲思考、深度訪談探討高齡者在使用血壓計記憶功能中遭受挫折的原因,以探討不利高齡族群使用該功能之問題點,進一步深入研究,針對問題點提出改善方案,再行使用性測試以驗證改善方案是否達到成效,最後提出符合高齡者使用之血壓計記憶功能設計原則與相關建議,作為血壓計記憶功能在操作上的改善依據。 根據實驗結果,本研究提出以下高齡族群操作血壓計記憶功能使用性改良與建議如下: (1)螢幕顯示-操控按鍵採對應設計;(2)操控鍵採單鍵單控模式;(3)群化相同功能操控按鍵;(4) 直覺性的血壓值基準值提示方式;(5)明確且清楚的回饋;(6)介面說明文字中文化。

Nowadays social trends and changes have altered population structures significantly. Senior citizens’ independence has become common. They are able to operate home medical equipment like blood pressure moniter by themselves. Sensing technologies’ developments, such as, the blood pressure monitor has been equipped with multiple but complex instructions and functions. Although the functions developed can enhance the measured values accuracy, the operation is complicated, generating difficulties to older adults. According to surveys, the existing blood pressure monitor memory function was not properly designed for older adults. Therefore, they became reluctant to use it or had no confidence on it. Since they can’t record the value successfully. In consequence, it failed to achieve the demands of health management by performing long-term record of memory function. Thus, this study evaluatedS blood pressure monitor function usability by combining usability-testing methods including: observation, think-aloud and interview during experimental task. Reasons and problems have been investigated on why seniors feel confused and unwilling to use blood pressure monitor memory. Based on problems that were found, we provide some improvement proposals, also verified and measured the improvement effect by usability testing. Finally, according to the experimental results, design principles and suggestions are proposed for the blood pressure monitor memory function usage as a basis for operation improvement. According to the results, six useful improvement principles and recommendations are proposed: (1) A mapping relationship between screen and controller; (2) One controller with one function; (3) Grouping a same function controller; (4) An intuitive way to prompt reference blood pressure values; (5) A clear feedback; (6) Chinese text in the interface. It can improve the product usability and help senior citizens operate and understand the memory function better.
