In this thesis, we study the fixed-focal projection lens system to apply to a 50 inches screen rear projection television. The research direction is using the Zemax software to find out the optimized lens system. In its design process we choose the appropriate merit function to design two kinds of different reverse telephoto structure of the wide-angle fixed-focal lens system. All the two processes seven lenses are used to achieve the optical performance. By discussion of these two kinds of lens system's tolerance analysis result, we obtain the optical component manufacture error variation which conforms to the predetermined specification to the image quality influence. According to the tolerance analysis result, we will redistribute the tolerance range, to cause the fixed-focal lens system to have the easy manufacture, the easy assembly and the advantage of low cost . It is possible to make the fixed-focal lens system. In addition, to arrange a reflection mirror between the front group and the rear group, it changes lens system path of rays direction. The function can reduce the rear projection television of the radial direction thickness.
