臺灣清代街的形成與發展：以方志記載為中心的探討

摘要

1683年（康熙22年）臺灣納入清朝版圖，清代統治臺灣212年間，從消極的限制到積極的治理，不但突顯臺灣海疆的地位十分重要，此外也豐富臺灣街的內涵。臺灣街受到社會、經濟、地理環境與歷史背景之下，從海港街、河港街到交通道路樞紐的街，每一個街發展的層次都代表臺灣街的歷史演變過程，以地理觀念來看臺灣的溪流像緯線，交通道路與洋流像經線，經緯交錯的節點成就了臺灣街。
本研究以清代方志記載的街為研究對象，以宏觀的角度建構清朝治理臺灣開始到日治時期之前（1683∼1895），臺灣街鎮的歷史發展脈落。再進一步闡述，臺灣街的區域體系、規模與族群關係，以及海港街、河港街、陸路街與山城街，在不同的地理環境與歷史背景之下，發展出具有臺灣風味的街鎮特色。最後，透過鑑古觀今，反思現行臺灣對聚落保存的態度，提供不同的觀點。

Taiwan was governed by the Cing dynasty in 1683 (Kangxi 22 years). During this period (212 years), the attitude of Cing dynasty managing Taiwan was from negative restrictions to positive governances, reflected the importance of the geography positions of Taiwan. It also influences Taiwan’s culture, which can be seen obviously in Taiwan’s stresses. The Taiwan Street affected by the social, economic, geographic environment and historical context, each Street Development level represents the historical evolution of Taiwan Street from the harbor Street, the river-port of Street to the traffic and road hubs. From the geographical views, Taiwan streams are like the weft; Traffics, roads and ocean currents are like the warp. The staggered nodes between wrap and weft achieve the Taiwan Streets.
In this research, the Cing dynasty Street Historical Records is the object. First, this research will discuss the history of developing Taiwan’s streets from the period of Cing dynasty governing before the period of Japanese colony (1683 to 1895). Second, it will discuss the more details of Taiwan streets, like the relations between street area system size and ethnic developments; the harbor streets, the river-port streets and the land streets in different geographical environment developed their own historical backgrounds. Finally, the discussion will be to provide the different perspectives based on the thoughts of the attitude of the current Taiwan historic preservation and the ancient concepts.
