影響區域教學醫院產學合作成功與失敗之因素探討

An investigation of factors affecting successful industry-academia partnership from regional teaching hospital's viewpoint

摘要


背景與動機 提升醫療品質是醫院持續追尋的目標,而藉著推動醫學研究醫院可促進醫療品質提升、研究風氣盛行。在新制的教學醫院評鑑將醫學研究也列為評鑑基準之一。醫院管理者在研究資源受限的情況下,為符合新制教學醫院評鑑基準多以產學合作方式來協助醫師推動研究發展。但目前所見之產學合作關係並非都是成功的,要如何發展成功的產學合作是為醫院管理者欲探討之課題。這對研究資源相對有限的區域教學醫院尤其重要。 研究目的 探討區域教學醫院之醫師與老師進行醫學研究之產學合作時,影響兩者間合作成功與失敗的因素。 研究方法 本研究採質性研究法,對受訪者進行個別訪談。以立意取樣方式在2011年1月至8月期間,訪談有產學合作經驗的學術界老師與區域教學醫院醫師各6位。訪談前,先透過文獻探討後建立訪談大綱。訪談時,先取得受訪者同意,進行訪談錄音。訪談後,將訪談錄音檔的內容轉為逐字稿,透過Nvivo8質性軟體進行資料分析及編碼,將內容進行彙整及歸納。 研究結果 從訪談內容分析歸納出臨床醫師進行醫學研究的動機有醫院管理者的要求、醫師自己本身的動機及學校老師的邀請。但醫師在進行醫學研究的過程往往會面臨到時間不足、研究經費申請管道競爭激烈及研究方法設計不夠純熟等困境。透過與學校老師的產學合作方式可協助醫師解決醫學研究上所面臨的困境。 產學合作夥伴的尋覓可經由醫院或其他團體舉辦的學術研討會、學術進修或個人的人脈關係來找到有共同研究主題興趣的人。而定期舉行溝通會議,報告研究進度、研究經費使用概況等,並保持溝通順暢的管道。在產學合作關係中建立「信任」,保持「善意」及「誠實」的態度,提供符合對方需求的「能力」以發揮所長,互惠自己的研究資源,是促使產學合作成功及持續長久合作關係的條件。 研究成果分配規則是依照產學合作開始前老師與醫師所協議同意的,只要雙方所提供的研究資源是有符合協議內容即可。依據訪談內容建議是以「貢獻度」作為分配原則較符合公平性,亦可使合作關係也可更為長久。 結論 醫院宜營造環境而非採強制手段,協助醫師找到志同道合的研究夥伴及研究主題。在產學合作過程中最重要的是建立彼此的「信任」關係,且透過不斷的溝通,累積雙方的信任感,並以誠懇的態度提供對方所需的研究資源。最後在研究的成果需依照合作前所協議的內容進行分配,以符合公平性。 關鍵字:產學合作

Background and Motivation: To improve the quality of health care is essential for a hospital. One of the measures to improve the quality of practice is to promote the medical research. In the meanwhile, the evaluation of medical research is also included into new teaching hospital accreditation. To cope with the limited resources for academic research, hospital administrators often encourage physicians to collaborate, with the academic institutes, in order to promote the research development. However, it does not always work. Therefore, how to develop successful collaboration between physicians and an university has become the first priority of hospital administrators. This issue is especially important for the regional teaching hospital with limited research resources. Objectives: The purposes of this study are to investigate the factors that lead to a successful collaboration between physicians of regional teaching hospitals and universities. Research Method: This study used qualitative in-depth interviews to collect information. Participants were recruited via, a purposive sampling method. The interview outline was established by reviewing related literature. After obtaining the consent of tape-recording in interview, six physicians and six university teachers who had collaborating research experiences were interviewed. Data collecting was conducted from January to August 2011. All of the contents of recording were transcribed into Microsoft Word files, and then coded and analyzed with Nvivo8 software. Research Results: From the interview, the physicians’ motivation for research includes the requirement of hospital administrators, self expectations, and invitation from campus. Because of lack of time, money and the knowledge of research method, hospital administrators and physicians need others’ collaboration opportunities to resolve the problem. The partner for collaboration can be found in the academic seminars, advanced study course, or people with the same interests. In order to keep effective communication, the time tables should be set before the collaboration and keep regular meeting going on schedule. Participants needed to establish a “trust” relationship, and provided reciprocal “research resources” and “research abilities”. It is essential for a persistent partnership. The rule of authorship should be set before the collaboration. Participants reported that the arrangement of authorship should be based on each author’s contribution. Conclusion: In conclusion, hospital administrator should encourage and help the physicians to find the appropriate partnership and suitable topic. How to establish the “trust” relationship is the most important issue during the process of collaboration. It needs repeated communication and honesty attitude. Finally, the arrangement of authorship should be fairly according to each author’s contribution. Keywords: industry-university collaboration
