應用行動代理人技術強化行動商務中資料存取的效能-以線上拍賣為例

摘要


無線通訊器材的迅速研發和深受消費大眾的喜好,使得行動商務在台灣推展漸受重視。目前電子商務的科技蓬勃發展,愈來愈多的交易都能快速地在網路上完成。其中線上拍賣的電子交易情形受到廣大消費者的注意和參與,若能將此交易平台推廣至行動用戶之上,便能讓線上拍賣的範疇更廣泛。本論文也觀察到線上拍賣系統反應拍賣資訊的即時性不足以及行動通訊的諸般限制,如:有限的電池量、通訊頻寬的限制、較昂貴的通訊費用等,若能有效地整合實體性和邏輯性的行動技術,必能強化行動商務中資料存取的效能。本論文提出結合行動通訊設備與行動代理人系統,利用支援J2ME的通訊設備擴展現有的電子交易平台,具體發揮行動通訊設備的優點,並以行動代理人技術來增強交易資訊的即時性以及克服行動通訊設備所受到的限制。 本論文主要討論在行動商務交易平台中,如何運用行動代理人技術來有效提升交易平台處理查詢資料的效能。首先運用行動代理人技術設計出四種不同的模式,分別對資料庫來做查詢的動作,接著進行此四種模式執行相同查詢時各項效能指標的比較,包括完成查詢所需要的反應時間,完成一次查詢作業時,使用者端與伺服器間所需要的資訊傳輸量,以及系統進行資料庫查詢時的負載量。綜合上述比較,本論文找出一個最佳的模式,該模式具有最快速的反應時間、最低的資訊傳輸量及較低的伺服器負載量。運用此模式在行動商務交易平台下,不再受限於以往只經由網路瀏覽器介面的方式進行資訊溝通,可大幅降低行動用戶的資料傳輸量,以減少使用無線網路所需要的資源與費用。最後經由系統實作之後不僅證明使用者能夠以行動通訊設備參與線上拍賣,並且以行動代理人的溝通性更能夠提升交易平台中交易資訊反應的即時性。

With the accelerating development and booming popularity of mobile communication devices, mobile commerce is becoming more acceptable in Taiwan, and more and more business transactions are processed on the wireless network. The electronic online auctions are involved with global consumers on the Internet, and the scope of the online auction would be more widespread if the mobile users can easily access the auction platform. This thesis has observed that the online auction systems are lack of quick responses for the auction information, and the wireless communication devices have many restrictions such as insufficient battery power, lower bandwidth, and higher communication charges. This thesis integrated mobile devices and mobile agent technology to improve the response time of data transactions and to overcome the restrictions of wireless communications. The mobile agent applications were developed on the mobile devices supporting J2ME to elaborate advantages of mobile devices; therefore this approach could expand an existing e-commerce platform into an m-commerce one. This thesis discussed how to apply the mobile agents to enhance the effectiveness of data processing in the mobile commerce. By applying this kind of approach in mobile commerce, users do not have to exchange their information only on web browsers. This way will substantially reduce the amount of data transmission, and then the resources and costs are decreased in using wireless networks. JADE-LEAP, a Java based mobile agent technology, was applied as the development framework. Based on the JADE-LEAP, four different models were designed to use mobile agents for querying remote databases in various ways. These four models were compared with each other based on three indicators, including the responding time of queries, the data transmission rate between the client and server, and the system loading for querying databases. The best performance model in the comparisons was adapted for further system implementations. A prototypical auction system was implemented, and users could access this online auction system with mobile devices. The communication ability of mobile agents also strengthened the information response time in this particular business platform.
