硬體與軟體整合的系統可靠度與 可用度預測與改善

摘要


隨著電子技藝的進步,具有複雜功能的軟、硬體整合性產品越來越多。在產品開發階段常需預測其可靠度或可用度,以決定是否可以進入下一開發步驟或是公開上市。整合軟、硬體的系統可靠度與可用度分析與預測在產品開發決策過程,遂擔負起重要角色。當前的研究主要偏重開發階段如何預測軟體或硬體的個別可靠度,但對軟、硬體整合性的研究則相對較少。此外,系統可靠度與可用度的分析,多假設零件故障率和修復率為常數,然而在開發階段軟體的故障率多隨時間變動。為反映軟、硬體的故障特性,並兼顧分析及計算的簡化與接近真實性,本研究假設軟體故障率在開發階段為時間函數,硬體故障率則設為常數,以代表軟、硬體在其開發及正常生命周期的故障特性。在軟、硬體修復率方面,則皆假設為常數。在分析步驟方面,應用可靠度方塊圖,代表系統的可靠度架構,以馬可夫可靠度與可用度模型及組合式可靠度分析方法為主要研究方法,進而建立整合軟、硬體系統的可靠度與可用度預測模型,以分析及預測產品的軟、硬體整合的系統可靠度與可用度。

Products with integrated software and hardware become popular in our daily life as electronic technology innovates in fast speed. In product development phase, prediction of its reliability and availability is often needed for determination on getting forward to next development step or getting ready to the market deployment. Integrated hardware and software system reliability and availability analysis plays a key role on decision making during product development. In the past, researches focus mainly on hardware or software reliability individually. There are relatively few studies on integrated hardware and software system reliability analysis. Furthermore, the majority of system reliability and availability analyses assume that components failure rates and repair rates are constant. In reality, software failure rate in product development phase is mostly a time variant parameter. To reflect the characteristics of software and hardware failures and consider the requirements of approximation accuracy and calculation simplicity, this study assumes that software failure rate in development phase is a time dependent function, hardware failure rate is a constant function in response to hardware failure characteristics during its useful life period, and constant repair rates for hardware and software. The analysis steps of this study can be established as: applying reliability block diagram to represent system reliability framework, using Markov reliability and availability models and combinatorial reliability analysis as main research methods, and then building up integrated software and hardware reliability and availability prediction models for analysis and prediction of product software and hardware integrated system reliability and availability.
