桃園市國中生文化資本、學習焦慮及英語學習成效關係之研究

A Study on the Relationships among Cultural Capital, Learning Anxiety and English Learning Outcome of Intermediate School Students in Taoyuan City

摘要


摘要 本研究旨在探討桃園市國中生文化資本、學習焦慮及英語學習成效之現況,並分析不同背景之桃園市國中生文化資本、學習焦慮與英語學習成效的差異、相關及預測情形。 本研究採問卷調查法進行,以109學年度之桃園市公立國中學生為母群體,採分層叢集抽樣,抽取30所學校,共發出800份問卷,實得有效樣本647份,可用率為80.87%,問卷回收後將所得資料採描述統計、獨立樣本t考驗、單因子變異數分析、皮爾遜積差相關及多元迴歸分析進行資料分析,本研究之歸納結果如下: 一、 桃園市國中生文化資本、學習焦慮與英語學習成效現況良好。 二、 女生文化資本、學習焦慮皆高於男生。 三、 與父母同住者文化資本較高,與父母親之一同住者學習焦慮較高。 四、 本國籍文化資本高於外國籍。 五、 高社經地位家庭文化資本及英語學習成效高於低社經地位。 六、 不同文化資本及學習焦慮對英語學習成效有顯著差異。 七、 文化資本高英語學習成效越佳,學習焦慮低英語學習成效表現越佳。 八、 桃園市國中生文化資本與學習焦慮程低度負相關。 九、 桃園市國中生家庭社經地位、文化資本、學習焦慮對英語學習成效有良好預測力。 根據研究結果,本研究分別對學校、教師、家長及未來研究方向提出相關建議,並冀能供教育行政機關或學術參考之用。

Abstract This study aimed to explore the current status of cultural capital, learning anxiety and English learning outcome of intermediate school students in Taoyuan City, and analyze the differences, correlations and predictions of cultural capital, learning anxiety and English learning outcome of intermediate school students from different backgrounds. This study adopted the questionnaire survey method, taking the public intermediate school students in Taoyuan City in the 2020 school year as the population. The stratified cluster sampling was adopted, and thirty schools were selected. A total of 800 questionnaires were issued. 647 effective samples were obtained, and the availability rate was 80.87%. After the questionnaires were collected, the data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent samples t test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson product-moment correlation and Multipal regression analysys. The results of this study were summarized as follows: 1. The current status of cultural capital, learning anxiety and English learning outcome of intermediate school students in Taoyuan City was good. 2. The girls' cultural capital and learning anxiety were higher than the boys'. 3. The cultural capital of those who live with their parents was higher; the learning anxiety of those who live with one of their parents was higher. 4. The cultural capital of Taiwan nationality was higher than that of foreign nationality. 5. The cultural capital and English learning outcome of families with high socioeconomic status was higher than those with low socioeconomic status. 6. Different cultural capital and learning anxiety had significant differences in the English learning outcome. 7. The higher the cultural capital, the better the English learning outcome, and the lower the learning anxiety, the better the English learning outcome. 8. The cultural capital of intermediate school students in Taoyuan City was modestly negatively correlated with learning anxiety. 9. The family socioeconomic status, cultural capital, and learning anxiety of intermediate school students in Taoyuan City were predictive of the English learning outcome. Based on the results, this study puts forward relevant suggestions for schools, teachers, parents, and future research, and it is hoped to provide reference for the educational administrative agencies or academia.
