植物油高溫處理產生苯並芘的吸附移除研究

摘要


苯並芘 (Benzo[a]pyrene, BaP),是一種多環芳香族碳氫化合物 (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon, PAHs),容易產生於食用油脂的不完全的燃燒,造成人體致癌的風險,歐盟執委會規定食用油脂中最大限量不得高於2.0 μg/kg,所以本研究會使用椰殼顆粒活性碳、食用級矽藻土及商業離子交換樹脂三種吸附劑,在乙腈水溶液相的實驗環境下,以高效液相層析儀 (HPLC) 進行苯並芘的含量檢測。 根據實驗結果顯示,椰殼顆粒活性碳對苯並芘的移除效果最好,吸附1小時後,移除率可達99.36 %。對其吸附時間、吸附劑劑量及吸附溫度進行檢測後發現,在25℃下,使用1 wt%的活性碳吸附樣品1小時,為最適合移除苯並芘的實驗條件。此外,本研究於25℃下使用活性碳進行等溫吸附實驗,其等溫吸附曲線與Freundlich等溫吸附模型的迴歸結果較為符合。最後將油相與乙腈水溶液相的實驗結果比對後發現,油相的移除率為96.8 %,而乙腈水溶液相的移除率為99.8 %,兩者相似,所以建議未來在選擇吸附劑前,可以先透過水溶液相的實驗,找出相關的吸附條件,再應用於油品之中,節省時間及實驗成本的支出。

Benzo[a]pyrene (BaP) is a kind of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), which are easily produced by the incomplete combustion of edible oils, causing human carcinogenic. The European Commission has also established maximum levels of 2.0 μg/kg of benzo[a]pyrene in food containing fats and oils, so this study will use coconut shell activated carbon, food grade diatomaceous earth and Amberlyst 26 (OH) as an absorbent in a aqueous solution for the adsorption of BaP content determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). According to the experimental results, the coconut shell activated carbon has the best efficiency on the removal of BaP. After adsorption for 1 hour, the removal rate of BaP capture is 99.36 %. At room temperature, introducing 1 wt% of activated carbon for adsorption 1 hour exhibited the most suitable experimental condition for removal of BaP. In addition, the isotherm model of this adsorption experiment of activated carbon at room temperature was regressed in this study. The better result could be described by the Freundlich isotherm model. Comparing the removal rates in oil phase and the aqueous phase, 96.8 % and 99.8 % were observed after the adsorption, respectively. To save time and experimental cost, it is recommended to conduct experiment at aqueous phase to simulate the experimental conditions for the adsorption in oil phase before choosing the adsorbent in the future.
