摘要


許多科學家與藝術創作者都不停的致力於結合科學與藝術,特別是在電腦科學與數位科技的部分。現今有許多商業上的繪圖軟體提供了藝術影像處理的濾鏡例如油畫與水彩等等。而這些濾鏡通常是設計來取得特定的結果。在本篇論文當中,我們希望能發展出一套方法產生許多不同的藝術效果。所以我們提出了一個方法去結合細胞自動機以及影像處理,透過兩者的結合並藉由演化演算法來取得主觀上覺得有趣的藝術影像。此外本篇論文也提出幾個目標函數來取得非預期且有趣的結果。

Scientists and artists have been dedicate themselves to combine science and art together for decades, especially in the realm of computer science and digital technology. Nowadays, there are commercial software providing artistic image effect filters and processors. These functionalities are usually designed for certain specific purposes, such as blur, sketch, and the like. In this study, we make our attempt to develop a mechanism which is able to generate many different kinds of artistic effects, many of which are probably difficult to describe. The proposed mechanism combines cellular automata and pixel painting to process a given image with the involvement of an evolutionary algorithm. Interesting and/or unexpected results are obtained via the use of the evolutionary algorithm on the objective functions presented in this paper.
