In this dissertation, we study in high power LEDs for the application to light guides. We apply the mid-fitting evaluation algorithm to do a high-precise optical model of the LED light source. Based on it, we design a special end-cut in a one-dimensional light guides to perform high uniformity. Besides, we study two-dimensional light guides with V-cut structure and design light guide to perform high energy efficiency and high uniformity.
