領導與危機管理:印尼爪哇中小學校長領導能力在校園危機準備的角色

摘要


校長作為校園的領導者需要確保校園環境的安全。重要的是,學校領導者需發展危機意識並準備良好的安全計劃,以防意外發生。校園危機管理是在災難發生前保護孩子、建立安全學習環境、保護校園所有成員的關鍵。此外,校長領導是危機準備的一個重要因素。校園危機準備很重要,特別是在高風險災害的國家(如印尼)。本研究蒐集印尼爪哇中小學校長、老師和學校成員的資料,探討校園危機準備及支持校園危機準備的校長領導能力之情況,並探討其彼此關連。本研究發現,校園危機準備中的個人能力現況還不錯,但校園危機準備中的學校政策正在發展中,且校長處理危機的能力並不高。校長領導能力在校園危機準備扮演重要角色,研究結果顯示,校長領導能力與校園危機準備具顯著正相關。

Principal as a leader in the school needs to ensure the safety of all school elements during each school activity. It is important that a school leader develops awareness and well-prepared safety plans for any outbreak of crisis. Crisis management in schools is a key issue to protect the children before disaster strikes and build safe learning environment for all member of school community. Furthermore, leadership is one important factor of crisis preparedness. Achievement of crisis preparedness in schools is critical, especially in high risk disaster countries such as Indonesia. The study focuses on collecting data from principals, teachers, and staffs representatives to observe the preparedness in schools and the principal leadership competencies that support the crisis preparedness in Magelang, Central of Java, Indonesia that prone to high risk Volcano activities. From the survey, the current situation of school policy for crisis preparedness is in development, individual ability in crisis preparedness is good, and the principals still have a little competence to handle with crisis. The role of principal leadership competencies in crisis is investigated to observe the impacts of leadership on crisis preparedness. The results indicate principal leadership competency is positive statistically significant associated to school crisis preparedness.
