高齡科技志工之服務學習與生命意義之探究—以樂齡大學為例

摘要


本研究旨在探討高齡科技志工之服務學習與生命意義之探究,主要研究目的為(一)探討高齡者參與科技志願服務的動機;(二)瞭解高齡者參與科技志願服務歷程中的轉變與成長;(三)瞭解高齡志工參與科技志願服務後對生命意義的看法;(四)根據研究結果提出具體的結論與建議,以供相關單位與後續研究作一參考。 本研究採用質性研究法,以半結構式訪談輔以參與觀察與檔案分析蒐集資料,針對6位高齡科技志工進行訪談,經訪談、參與觀察等資料分析,瞭解高齡者參與科技志願服務的動機,進而探討其服務歷程的轉變與成長以及對生命意義的看法,繼而再進行研究結果的討論,最後提出本研究之結論,並針對研究結果提出具體建議。 本研究經資料分析與彙整後,獲致以下結論,分述如下︰ 一、資訊志工參與志願服務的動機多重,包含個人自我成長的企盼、擴展社會參與和人際互動、參與免費科技知能培訓及實踐利他服務的心願,其中參與免費科技知能培訓及實踐利他服務的心願的強度最強。 二、高齡科技志工教學模式的協助,幫助學員解決學習的困境。 三、運用高齡科技志工協助的教學模式在銀髮族資訊教育課程中有推廣之價值。 四、高齡科技志工在服務歷程中得到多元和愉快的學習經驗,趨使高齡者願意留在社區繼續參與服務。 五、高齡科技志工對其生命意義是有正向的影響,他們均能肯定自我存在的價值、接納命運力求突破,且以積極的態度面對生活。 六、高齡科技志工在參與服務過程中,引發其對社區社區歷史與人際互動及社區參與的正向影響。 七、高齡志工在參與科技志願服務過程中重新詮釋過去經驗,提升自我生命價值。 本研究的建議依科技志工、對志願服務運用單位、對高齡者及其家人與未來研究分述如下︰ 一、對科技志工的建議 善用夥伴的支持網絡以激勵持續學習的動力、同儕互動學習的過程可以反思自我的學習情況。 二、對志願服務運用單位的建議 以老年志工的身心狀況與教育程度做為科技志工任用標準,而非以年齡為標準以及增加科技志工的培訓課程有助於個人成長。 三、對政府的建議 透過社區成立銀髮族群對新科技的學習中心及互動分享平台、成立社區銀髮族科技志工服務團隊以培養銀髮族學習科技種子、民間企業結合成立銀髮族學習或購買新科技優惠專案讓銀髮族也能體驗科技所帶來的生活樂趣以及科技智慧生活。 關鍵字︰高齡科技志工、服務學習、生命意義

Abstract The theme of this research is about the transformational learning and meaning of life of the elderly technological volunteers. The key objectives of this report are as below: 1. To analyze the motivations of the elderly who engaged in technological volunteer service. 2. To understand the transformation and growth of these mentioned elderly during their volunteer service. 3. To comprehend these volunteers’ points of view about the meaning of life after they have taken part in volunteer service. 4. Make some concrete conclusions and suggestion based on the result of study so that relative authorities and organizations could process further research. This is a qualitative research processed based on semi-structured interviewing, with the support of participant observation and archival analysis. The author interviewed 6 elderly technological volunteers to understand the causes that incited them to participate in technological volunteer service by documentary analysis methods, such as interviews and participant observation, in order to study the transformation and growth of the interviewees during their service and their points of view about the meaning of life. Based on the result, the author induced her conclusions and made some concrete suggestions. The author analyzed the collected documents and made below conclusions: 1. There are various motivations that incite technological volunteers to participate in volunteer service, including self growth, social relationship, altruism and rewards, and the last two are the strongest. 2. The teaching methods used in elderly technological volunteer trainings help them to solve learning difficulties. 3. It is worthy to promote the teaching methods used in elderly volunteer trainings in senior people information education. 4. The elderly technological volunteers gained diverse and pleasing experience during the service, which encourages them to serve in the community continually. 5. The technological volunteer service has positive influence on volunteers’ lives. It helps them to recognize the value of their presence, accept their destiny, try to conquer themselves, and to live their lives with a positive attitude. 6. The volunteer service inspires the elderly technological volunteers to have an interest on the history of the community, and encourages them to communicate with other people and engage in community activities. 7. The elderly volunteers interpreted their previous experience during the service and enhanced the value of their lives. Below are suggestions the author would like to propose to the technological volunteers, the relative volunteer service authorities, and the elderly and their family, and other researchers interested in this theme. 1. Suggestions to technological volunteers Make good use of partner support network to stimulate motivation of continuous learning, peer interactive learning process can reflect on self-learning. 2. Suggestions to volunteer service authorities Physical and mental status and education level of the elderly volunteers volunteer appointment as science and technology standards, rather than age as the standard and increase the technology volunteer training course to help personal growth. 3. Suggestions to elderly and their family Relatives of the elderly shall encourage them to participate in volunteer service to build up a meaningful senior life. The elderly shall try to lead a regular life, and set up some proposes for their lives. Also, relatives of the elderly shall be their back-up to support them on volunteer service. 4. Suggestions to the government's proposal Through the establishment of the silver-haired ethnic community learning center and interactive new technology-sharing platform, the establishment of community volunteer service team Technology Seniors Seniors learning technologies to develop seeds, combined with the establishment of private enterprises Seniors learn or purchase new technology incentive program allows senior citizens also You can experience the joys of life brought about by technological and technological wisdom of life.
