整脊健腦針法治療角膜內皮細胞失養症之顯效病例報告

A Case Report of Endothelial Corneal Dystrophy with Adjusting Spine and Strengthen Brain Acupuncture Treatment

摘要

福斯氏角膜內皮細胞失養症（Fuchs Endothelial Corneal Dystrophy）為一顯性遺傳疾病，並以角膜內皮細胞加速性地減少為主要特徵，而角膜移植手術為目前唯一的根本治療方法。本案例為一44歲男性，於2018年1月台北慈濟醫院診斷角膜內皮細胞失養症，當時角膜內皮細胞數2342/2247（右眼／左眼），半年後複診1919/1715。2018年11月於花蓮慈濟醫院中醫科就診，並接受每週1-2次針刺治療。在無服用任何藥物的情況下，2020年9月複檢角膜內皮細胞數2500/2571，並在視力受限等主觀症狀上得到明顯改善。因此針刺治療案例效果顯著，故分享給中西醫同道，期望作為臨床醫師的治療參考。

Fuchs endothelial corneal dystrophy which is a kind of autosomal dominant inheritable disease results in accelerated decrease of corneal endothelium cells. For decades, corneal keratoplasty has been the only definite treatment option for FECD. This case is a 44-year-old male who was diagnosed with endothelial corneal dystrophy in Taipei Tzu Chi hospital in January 2018. His examination of the amount of corneal endothelium cells was 2342/2247 (Right/Left eye) then, and showed 1919/1715 after 6 months. In November 2018, He came to the department of Chinese Medicine in Hualien Tzu Chi hospital and started the acupuncture treatment 1-2 times per week. Without any oral drugs, his examination of the amount of corneal endothelium cells elevated to 2500/2571 in September 2020. The symptoms of visual impairment significantly improved after the continuous acupuncture treatment. As a consequence, we share this successful case to all doctors and hope it could be used as a reference for the treatment of endothelial corneal dystrophy.
