In this paper, we present a novel T-junction photonic crystal power splitter. Through changing the bending angle from 90 degrees to 45 degrees and inserting a scatterer, we can effectively improve the performance of a conventional T-junction photonic crystal power splitter. The analysis of the T-junction photonic crystal power splitter is performed with the finite-difference time-domain method. And the simulation results show that the proposal design of the paper can greatly reduce the reflection of the structure, resulting in an apparent increase in the transmission of the guiding light, while also effectively broaden the bandwidth compared with the conventional T-junction photonic crystal splitter.
