生涯未定大學生生涯發展阻力因素之探討

A Study of Career Undecided College Students' Self-Perceived Barriers in Career Development

摘要


生涯未定大學生自覺生涯發展阻力的研究,是針對1184位大學院校三年級學生施以「大學生生涯發展探索問卷」(原名為「生涯發展阻因素量表」)後,並自問卷自陳題項中,篩檢出641位(約五成五)自認尚未確立個人生涯方向者,是為本研究之有效樣本。所有受事者的自陳資料,係經由卡方檢定、參照分析等方法與程序,進行各種相關的檢測工作,結果發現:(1)大學生生涯發展阻力與生涯未定向間,具有相關性;其中,要以「意志薄弱」、「科系選擇」、「猶豫行動」、「特質表現」、「方向選擇」、「資訊探索」、「學習狀況」等阻力因素與定向間有較高的相關存在;(2)生涯未定大學生之生涯發展阻力來源,主要來自個人的「猶豫行動」、「方向選擇」「科系選擇」、「資訊探索」、「意志薄弱」等因素,其中又以「猶豫行動」一項要其他因素為顯著些。因此,本研究亦針對上列研究結果,提出大學院校生涯輔導與教育的實施,以及未來研究方向與改進等具體建議。

The present study examined the undecided college students' perception of barriers to career development. Subjects (N=1184) from the universities of middle Taiwan responded to Career Barrier Inventory that containing eight barriers in career development. 641 (54.1%) were screened as undecided category in career developing and 543 (45.9%) were in decided status. Analyses by the methods of Chi-square and Ridits Analysis revealed that extreme correlation (p<.0001) between the college students' career-related decision and the perceived barriers in career development. Finding also revealed the hesitate to take actions, choice to the future, choice of academic, information exploration, and the weak-willed are the barriers of undecided college students. The implications findings and suggestions for enhancing the career guidance and career education in campuses and improving he research methods to the instrument and the study itself are discussed.
