Experiences Using Independent Living Services among Adolescent Girls in a Residential Care Facility: Service Recipient Perspectives

摘要

為使兒少安置照顧的成年轉銜工作貼近服務使用者需求及聆聽青年的聲音，本研究目的在探究安置機構少女接受自立生活準備服務之經驗，選取某兒少安置機構之六位服務使用者，透過質性研究深度訪談方法，整理她們接受方案之認知、評價、改變、期待與建議，並據此提出自立生活準備服務之建議，研究建議包括：1.知識與體驗相輔相成；2.生活化與個別化服務；3.服務使用者的參與；4.強化內在心理幸福感。

A female-only residential care facility in Taiwan provides independent living services for its residents in order to prepare them for the transition to adulthood from adolescence. The purpose of this qualitative study was to explore the experiences of the adolescent girls served by this independent living program and hopes to inform practice with youth voice. Six girls in the residential care facility were interviewed. Four themes have been identified from data analysis, including cognition, evaluation, change, and expectation. The following suggestions are based on the findings of this study: (1) independent living services should be developed to integrate with knowledge and experience; (2) independent living services should be life-oriented and individualized; (3) client participation in program development is vital; (4) in addition to life skills training, mental well-being also should be enhanced.
