具即時記譜的互動式電腦音樂的應用與探討

A Theremin with Real-time Notation in Interactive Computer Music

摘要


互動音樂的發展,必須要具有傳統五線譜的及時記譜功能,讓作曲家、聽眾與表演者這三方能夠透過看到樂譜的即時呈現而有一致性與視覺觸發性的互動方式。本研究使用電腦音樂與電子樂器的互動方式以Max/Msp[1]為媒介達成即時記譜。直到最近Nick Didkovsky [2]才研究一種在JMSL(Java Music Specification Language)環境底下操作的軟體MaxScore[3],它使得以Max/Msp為互動創作的音樂能達成即時記譜。本文對JMSL, MaxScore的安裝及使用作一簡介,並引入我們所設計的互動式電腦音樂系統做一展示;包含:利用Theremin經由Arduino 與Max/Msp 做互動式電腦音樂演奏的應用及未來發展的探討。

Interactive computer music becomes popular that composers, audience and/or performer each of them can create fabulous music sensation and join in the performing in real-time. To better coordinates the interactions from three sides (performer, composer and audience), the traditional music score must be presented accompanied by proper interactive software tools. Amongst the current interactive methods the Max/Msp is the most prevailed one over the entire computer music arena that draws the research into designing better real-time notation method for that. It is not until the recent development of the MaxScore which enables the creation of real-time notation using Max/Msp. In this paper we describe how to use this package under JMSL environment. Our designed interactive apparatus will be served as examples to demonstrate the effective usage of this.
