摘要
本篇論文在探討孟子的人格特質，《孟子》一書流露鮮明的「超我」人格的意志與精神，特別是他「生於憂患，死於安樂」的逆境哲學，啓發後代無數的讀者。本文研究方法，除了引用《孟子》文本外，借用西方現代心理學－人格的形成、佛洛伊德的「原我、自我、超我」人格結構與「九型人格」等理論來探索。人格的形成與原生家庭有密切的關係，來自環境、父母以及個人性向、後天學習與學術薰染有關。孟子展現的人格特質有，具體性的思維方式，強烈的道德觀、濃厚的人道主義精神、展現不畏、向上、向前的逆境精神，屬於「九型人格」中的「完美主義」的人格類型。這樣的人格有超高標準的道德觀，是非善惡二元對立，好壞涇渭分明，有絕對的價值觀，以良心爲責任導向，喜歡爭強好辯，常會吹毛求疵，痛恨不公不正的行爲，力挽狂瀾，一心想改善混亂失序社會，選擇做對、做正確的事，孟子在先秦諸子中具有鮮明的人格特質，也是熱情典型理想完美主義者。

This thesis treats Mencius' characteristis of personality. The book, Mencius, reveals the will and the spirit of superego. Life spring from sorrow and calamity; dead comes from ease and pleasure, ”was his personality when he met with adversities and the philosophy inspired thousand of redders. Besides discussing the book, Mencius, the thesis also combines western modem psychology, including the formation and Freuds' theory of.” Id ego and superego” and Enneagram etc. The formation of the personality and original families have close relation. It probably comes from environment, parents and personal aptitude, future learning and academic edification. Mencius' characteristics of personality are concrete thing, glowing mores, humanitarianism spirit and meeting with adversityies courageously. The above characterististics of personality belong to perfect-ionism of Enneagram. This kind of personality has the highest standard of mores, differentiating clearly beteeen good and evil, categoryic values, taking conscience as his responsibility, lildng to debate nitpicking, abominating unfair and oppressive behaver, turning back the power of darkness ,doing right things and looking forword to improveing chaotic society. Mencius' characterististics of personality are more apparent than other sages and he is a typical he is a typical figure of passionate and ideal perfectionist.
