The geological system of the Chaishan landslide area in Kaohsiung City is composed of limestone and mudstone. Because these two kinds of sedimentary rock formations are light in age and poor in lithology and cementation, they soften or scour with water, causing the limestone layer above to slip and partially sink. In addition, factors such as the erosion of the foot of the coastal slope by the waves have caused the continuous stratum slip phenomenon. In order to promote and manage the follow-up disaster prevention work, it is planned to establish a wireless landslide automatic monitoring system, which will be completed in two years. It is expected to achieve the functions of immediate response, alert and evacuation and evacuation to ensure the safety of local people's lives and property.
