摘要

本研究旨在分析並詮釋臺灣女子足球隊成軍之背景、經過及影響，並探討在國內外政治環境變化下，以「木蘭」為名的臺灣女子足球隊時代意義。為此，採歷史研究法，主要蒐羅1975至1977年間臺灣女子足球隊成軍及首次征戰海外相關報導文獻進行分析與考察。據探討結果顯示，做為「東西冷戰前哨站」、「另一個正統中國國家」及「遷佔者國家」的「戰後臺灣國家」，隨著1970年代中華民國國際外交與正統性的鬆動，影響臺灣體育發展甚鉅，間接促使「木蘭」在1975年短暫成軍，以及1977年踏上東南亞之征途。有趣的是，「木蘭」初次遠征旋即獲得優異成績，進而開啟往後光輝燦爛的「木蘭」時代。總括而言，「木蘭」的崛起可視為時代背景下肩負國族期待的產物，主流媒體塑造出「木蘭」巾幗不讓鬚眉之英雄形象，除呈現對於「木蘭」表現的肯定外，更間接反映出當時社會氛圍對於爭取勝利（認同）以證明自身存在的渴望，以及凸顯「木蘭」崛起在國家艱困處境下所扮演凝聚國族士氣的角色。

This study aimed to analyze and interpret the background, history and influence of Taiwan women's football team. It also explored what time significance did the team's name ＂Mulan＂ have when Taiwan experienced changes in domestic and international political environment. This study used historical research method to collect, analyze and investigate relevant reports and literature on the establishment of Taiwan women's football team and its first participation in international tournaments between 1975 and 1977. The results showed that being the 'outpost of Cold War', 'the authentic/ Free China' and a 'migrants' country' after Chinese Civil War, Taiwan and its development of sport were greatly impacted by the international diplomatic crisis and threats to the regime's legitimacy in the 1970s. These factors indirectly contributed to the establishment of ＂Mulan＂ in 1975 and its participation in tournaments held in Southeast Asia in 1977. Interestingly, ＂Mulan＂ achieved outstanding results in its first international tournament, which allowed corresponding authorities to work on relevant affairs, thereby paving the way for a glorious era for ＂Mulan.＂ In sum, the rise of ＂Mulan＂ could be seen as an outcome of a collective aspiration towards winning at the time. Mulan's heroine image created and crafted by the mass media not only showed the affirmation of their performance on court, but also reflected the society's desire to prove self-existence through victory. It also highlighted its role in unifying the people in Taiwan under the dilemma of international environment.
