民國時期江蘇省自由車競賽之研究（1932-1936）

摘要

本研究從微觀視域的角度，進行江蘇省自由車競賽相關史料、報刊、雜誌與政府公報等文獻的解析，目的在於闡述此項競賽的歷史樣貌與意義。研究結果顯示，自由車輸入中國後，其角色從舶來品到生活中的交通工具，演變成競賽的運動器械。而1932年江蘇省第一屆民眾業餘運動會的自由車「賽慢制」競賽，是省內日後五屆自由車競賽發展的濫觴。其次，江蘇省1932-1936年共舉辦過五屆自由車競賽，展現華人對自由車運動參賽與觀賽的渴望與興趣，也體現了競賽制度愈趨完善的發展歷程。再者，女子組的增設有無、參賽人數及賽事實際進行與否，說明了1930年代江蘇省民眾對於女性騎乘時髦的自由車與參加自由車競賽二者的身體形象觀存在著差異性。整體而言，江蘇省自由車競賽之推展，乃是提倡運動之積極作為，除促進民眾運動的習慣之外，藉由運動競賽的平台打破階級界限，使各界相互聯結，進而活絡群體氛圍。

This study analyzes the historical materials, newspapers, magazines, and government bulletins related to the bicycle competitions in Jiangsu Province from a micro-historical perspective, with the aim to expound the historical appearance and significance of the competition. The results showed that after entering China, the role of bicycles has evolved from imported goods to transportation in daily lives, and then become sports equipment for competition. In 1932, the ＂slow race format＂ of the bicycle competition in the 1st Public Amateur Sports Meeting in Jiangsu Province was the beginning of the development of the following five bicycle competitions in the province. Furthermore, the five cycling competitions held from 1932-1936 revealed the Chinese's interest in participating and watching cycling events and also demonstrated the progress of the competition system. However, the addition of the women's group, the number of participants, and the actual execution of the events indicated that the people of Jiangsu Province in the 1930s had different viewpoints on the body image between women riding stylish bikes and participating in cycling competitions. Still, overall speaking, the cycling competition in Jiangsu Province has led to the popularity of the sport, which has not only promoted the people's exercising habits, but also helped break the boundaries and connected different class, enhancing the atmosphere among all groups.
