華銀金像獎女子硬式棒球賽（1956-1957）

本研究主要是探究1956年出現首場女子硬式棒球賽之原因，以及釐清華銀金像獎棒球賽女子組之競賽過程和參與隊伍之人員。本研究引用報紙、省運會秩序冊、《棒球界》雜誌與《華銀通訊》等歷史資料，從建構兩屆華銀金像獎棒球賽之過程出發。研究發現，在競技表現方面，第一屆冠軍為樹林中學隊，第二屆冠軍為稻江家政隊，且從金像獎得獎名單與省運會秩序冊中記載的人名發現，1950年代女子棒球的球員多有壘球運動經驗，甚至是雙棲（棒壘、田徑）或多棲（棒壘、田徑、網球）的運動員。相較於日本的東京女子棒球隊來說，當時臺灣的女子棒球，在程度上落後日本許多。其內在原因可能是年齡、學籍等因素，外在原因可能為運動人口與環境。就該項比賽的意義而言，華銀金像獎女子硬式棒球賽開啟了戰後臺灣女子硬式棒球賽的濫觴，而能夠舉辦之原因，可歸功於身兼臺灣省棒球協會總幹事以及華南銀行協理的蘇嘉和。

This study seeks to discuss the reasons behind the birth of the first female baseball game in 1956, understand the proceeding of the women's team participation in the Hua Nan Commercial Bank Golden Award Baseball Game, and identify the female athletes who were part of the teams. By studying newspaper reports, Provincial Games program booklets, the ＂Baseball World＂ magazine and the ＂Hua Nan Commercial Bank Communication＂ newsletter, the author has reconstructed the proceeding of the first two annual Hua Nan Commercial Bank Golden Award Baseball Games. In these games, the champion of the inaugural competition was Shulin High School, while that of the second was Tamsui High School of Home Economics. The lists of winners of the Hua Nan Commercial Bank Golden Award and the program booklets of the Provincial Games revealed that that most female baseball players in the 1950s had experience playing softball. On top of that, some of them were two-sport athletes, such as those who were adept in both baseball/softball and track and field, or even multi-sport ones skilled in baseball/softball, track and field, and tennis. Compared with the female baseball team in Tokyo, Japan, the performance of Taiwanese female baseball players was lackluster. This situation could be attributed to both internal factors and external factors, with examples of the former being the players' ages and their enrollment statuses in school, and examples of the latter being Taiwan's sporting culture and macro-environment. The Hua Nan Commercial Bank Golden Award is a key event in Taiwan's history, for it marked the beginning of local women's baseball games after the war. The reasons for the game's success can be attributed to Su Jiahe, the Director General of the Taiwan Provincial Baseball Association and the Associate Director of Hua Nan Commercial Bank back in those days.
