摘要
徐訏先生是一位極受推崇的多產作家，戲劇作品有長短劇二十四本及歌劇一本。這些長短劇本類型中有悲劇、詩意象徵劇、諷刺喜劇、心裡分析劇、擬未來派戲劇等。徐訏劇本內容有反應大時代精神者，有喚醒民族愛國意識者，有書寫人間「愛」者，有描寫特殊心理者，有表現哲理思維者等。徐訏劇作的技巧有採用「戲劇性」形式，有採用「佳構劇」形式，有採用「象徵派」表現技巧，更有所謂的「未來派戲劇」表現技巧。徐訏劇作無論係內容及形式都表現了多樣性，應給了他應有重視。

Mr. Yu Hsu is a remarkable prolific writer. His theatrical work totals 24 plays and I opera. The forms of the plays include tragedy, symbolic drama, comedy of satire, Psychological drama, and futuristic drama. There are a variety of subjects in his plays as well. Some reflect the spirit during the wartime, some evoke patriotism, and others describe love, psychology, and philosophical thinking. The techniques that he used include dramatic structure, well-made play form, symbolism and futurism. Thus, the versatility of the plays should earn him the overdue attention.
